Homosexuals, Uganda, Rick Warren, Rowan Williams and finger pointing
Years ago we’d often hear “a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty”. Most of us know that is no longer the case for the general citizenry of our world. In fact, it would seem the opposite is true “guilty until proven innocent”. Of course, this is unless you’re a politician, rich or know the right people; in other words, if you are influential. I exhibit, for an example, the current issue in Uganda. You know the issue about them passing a law making homosexuality a capital crime punishable by death. It even extends to the bizarre point of jailing citizens for knowing a homosexual without reporting them to officials. All of a sudden we have media outlets pointing fingers at the influential for remaining silent on the Uganda issue.
