Round and round we go, where we stop nobody knows! Question: What is a bi-national love? Answer: A love between two people of two different countries/nations. As most adults know, extended love can present many hurdles. Add the ‘bi-national ingredient’ and the hurdles exponentially increase. Add the ‘gay ingredient’ and the hurdles can become impossible. In our 21st century world it seems so many relate to life through the television or movie screen. Of course we all have a life. But that life is often so burdensome we have no time for the sensitivities of human life. Our burdens of paying the bills, putting food on the table and keeping a roof over our heads are often all consuming. If lucky, some get the annual vacation where they can experience and explore their human sensitiveness. Others only dream of such luxuries. Few seem to have time to truly live a life in touch with our human sensibilities and sensitivities. In order to supplement that void many live vicariously through television and movies. Often, it seems, the movies and shows that touch our hearts stand tall. They give us a glimpse at love that exists on a higher plain. A love we seldom experience but often dream of. Peace on Earth and Brotherly/Sisterly Love are terms we rarely hear these days. Unfortunately these are bedrocks of a solid societal foundation. It seems the loving and caring foundation has been replaced with a competitive mindset. This competitive mindset is the cornerstone of a divided societal foundation. Division is not a positive aspect. It does not encourage a thriving and flourishing society. We have all heard the term ‘divide and conquer’ used and we all know it is a negative connotation. We all know there are dire consequences to such a mindset. Yet, so many in our human family actively participate in these methods daily! Instead of trying to make everything better for everyone, most are self-absorbed. This mindset is a product of brain washing. From birth we are inducted into a competitive mindset. Our governmental system was laid out with good intentions. We have been told there are simply to many people and it would be impossible to realistically tender a secure and reliable vote. Of course that was the original argument for governmental representatives of the people. They were streamlining the system of that day. Making it more efficient and less costly. It was a good thing then. Is it still a good thing? In that day they still had horse and buggies. Now our government has become so large perhaps the government needs another level of government to govern them? It’s only our money they are spending. No need to worry about that. We can just work harder at half the salary we deserve, if we can find a job. And don’t forget, you need to give our government 30% (or more) of what you earn. I was a senior in high school, it was 1973. For those of you who have listened to my personal story or watched my personal story video , you will know high school was a time when I was repressing my sexuality and sexual desires. Thanksgiving 2008 We all have actions in our past that we are not proud of. I would be surprised if there is one single human being on this earth who does not have something in their past which they are not proud of. Something they wish they had not done. Something they regret. Yet we forgive ourselves and move on. So I have a question for you to think about. Why is it so easy to forgive yourself but so hard to forgive others? The point I'm trying to make here is, if someone else’s actions don't harm anyone why are they unforgivable? Let me try to add some clarity. Since I'm a gay man, many would say they love me but my sexual activities are sinful. They cannot love that, and apparently they cannot overlook it. One wouldn't think to find much more then financial info, but as I scrolled through the story there was a human side to it which was beautiful. The article was written by P V Subramanyam, here are some excerpts; He was a 63-year-old bachelor, who had lived life in full and was now at the fag end of his life. America: Zero tolerance on hate is the message all Americans should loudly proclaim. It stands to reason, anyone disagreeing with this statement is in the minority. There is no justification for hate! But some religious folks believe there is justification for hate. And they further their sin by saying God/Allah commanded it. We’ve all seen a long time couple that seems to know what the other is thinking, often able to finish sentences for each other. Their common bond of love is extremely powerful. If one of them were to disappear under suspicious circumstances the other would be invaluable in the investigation due to this extremely powerful common bond of love. God/Allah is about Love. I was watching a movie and heard a religious person ask a non-religious person “Do you know what it says in the 10 commandments?” The non-religious person answered, “I sure do, it says Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t and Don’t”. Folks if your church is about control and hatred you should find another church that is loving and accepting. Somehow, somewhere the message has been lost. Those of you who continue to support hate are helping to cause the destruction of our society. Hateful religion has no place in a future of peace and love. Loving religion could accomplish miracles.
