In 2002 a Federal District Court Judge ruled the "under god" part in the Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional. God is Genderless. God is not a he or a she. In a similar fashion the spirit within you and me is also genderless. Gender is a condition which affects the human plane, not the spiritual one. Thanksgiving 2008 We all have actions in our past that we are not proud of. I would be surprised if there is one single human being on this earth who does not have something in their past which they are not proud of. Something they wish they had not done. Something they regret. Yet we forgive ourselves and move on. So I have a question for you to think about. Why is it so easy to forgive yourself but so hard to forgive others? The point I'm trying to make here is, if someone else’s actions don't harm anyone why are they unforgivable? Let me try to add some clarity. Recently preachers have turned to politics in the pulpits. Some claim they have every right to preach politics. I agree with them, they have every right to preach politics, AFTER they give up their tax exempt status. But they don’t want to do that. A church of greed is not a true church! It’s very interesting and telling these churches demand everyone adhere to the bible yet they ignore the words of Jesus himself. Since Rev. John Hagee seems to have a hot line to God ( at least he did when it came to Katrina ) I had a question. Oh wait, I forgot he appoligized for pretending to "speak for God" regarding the Katrina statements. Anyhow, my question is: Rev. America: Zero tolerance on hate is the message all Americans should loudly proclaim. It stands to reason, anyone disagreeing with this statement is in the minority. There is no justification for hate! But some religious folks believe there is justification for hate. And they further their sin by saying God/Allah commanded it. Stop speaking for God In response to comments made by radio host Phil Valentine by John Michael Weatherly, Nashville, Tennessee Let me first say I agree with the vast majority of Phil’s views on politics, life, religion and even humor. Phil is very vocal in his assertions and supports his views against the opposing caller or e-mailer with logic and evidence. I admire his ability to think on his feet and provide valid responses. Yesterday, however, Phil did what so many conservatives, evangelicals, religious ‘leaders’ and politicians do so frequently: Phil used the Bible to assert his belief that homosexuality is wrong.
