Obama's wife says he'll fight for gay equality
A recent Associated Press article by Samantha Gross tells us about Michelle Obamas' recent speech at the Gay and Lesbian Leadership Council.
"Barack Obama will fight for equal rights for gays just as he fought to help working-class families overcome poverty. We are all only here because of those who marched and bled and died, from Selma to Stonewall, in the pursuit of a more perfect union," she said.
Of course it didn't take long for the rightwing to come out with their pearls of wisdom regarding this. Of course, for effect, they needed to change the title a bit: "Obama's wife says he'll fight for homosexual equality".
