Vote NO on proposition 8 to protect all children

Believe it or not the proponents of proposition 8 and I agree.

We agree on the point that children will be affected.

However, we disagree on the how children will be affected!

The proponents will have you believe children will be harmed by equality while the truth of the matter is that children will reap great rewards. And, in turn the world will be a better place for all.

Let’s think about the children who are wards of the state and children who are currently being raised in a same-sex household.

By the simple existence of children who are wards of the state we know there obviously are more children than parents to care for them.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were no such thing as wards of the state? Doesn’t it make sense if there are more parents then there will be less wards of the state?

How about children currently being raised in a same-sex household? Do you not realize the next step in all of this is to remove those children from their homes? After all, if loving same-sex couples are not worthy of marriage then surely they are not worthy of parenthood.

How about the gay children? Doesn’t little gay Johnny or Susie deserve to have positive role models? Why should these children be harmed by growing up in a world that constantly tells them they and their kind are less and unworthy?

So many will tell you marriage is religious. But a man and woman get the same marriage license without ever walking through the doors of a church!

A marriage license is issued by the state, not the church! If you get married in a church the church official must be licensed and/or certified by the state in order to issue a marriage license.

Marriage ceased to be a religious issue once the state started issuing marriage licenses.

But the more important issue is the children.

So please vote no on proposition 8 to protect all children.
